The arc, in one line

Micro builds Monday to Wednesday, macro lands Thursday, Friday closes with exchange rates and the fellows proving the week on a real business. Every afternoon applies what your morning taught: concepts in the morning, Indian cases after lunch, hands-on lab right after. Nothing you teach waits more than a few hours before fellows use it.

Daily shape · your mornings, our afternoons

MondayCircular Flow of Income — Bisleri opener, an economy as an aggregate of transactions. Then Supply & Demand — curves, movements vs shifts. At day close SOF briefs Mission 02: Read a Real Business Like an Economist. Fellows pick a real business and observe it evenings all week through your concepts.
TuesdaySurplus & Cost Concepts — consumer surplus, marginal cost, opportunity cost. Then Elasticity & Scale — elasticity, fixed vs variable costs, economies of scale.
WednesdayPrice Discrimination + Game Theory, then Market Structures + Market Failure. PM: India Lens I, micro cases (Licence Raj, Jio predatory pricing, Onion Crisis), then Lab A, The Micro Lens — fellows apply your three days of micro to real businesses. You're welcome in the room for both.
ThursdayMacro Opener — Nifty since 2000, GDP and components, live FRED demo (we'll have the screen and internet tested before you walk in). Then Monetary & Fiscal Policy — repo rate, inflation, fiscal vs monetary. PM: India Lens II, macro cases (Demonetisation, Funding Winter, K-Shaped Recovery), then Lab B, The Macro Lens.
FridayExchange Rates — USD-INR kept applied: cashew and spice exporters, Gulf remittance families. Then Lab C, The Synthesis (SOF-run), and from 14:00 the Mission Showcase: debrief circles of 8–10, best conversations to the room. You score in the room with the PRs.

Office Hours

  • One-on-one time with fellows in the afternoon flex windows. Private, unscored, a few slots only this week.
  • PRs manage the roster and bring fellows to you 2–3 at a time. You just hold the conversation.

Two content requests

  • For game theory examples, we suggest IPL media-rights bidding or Ola/Uber over Netflix/Blu-Ray — and best to skip Jio, since fellows meet it as a full India Lens case the same afternoon.
  • Keep exchange rates applied rather than mechanical: our fellows know exporters and remittance families, not the DXY.
